Sorry for the late art blog today, folks. Still in midst of moving into my new house, sorting and unpacking. But thought you guys might want a sneak peek.

I just got the bare essentials up and running, including a brand new drawing table. The house painting isn’t finished yet. Hence all the chairs and couch in the family room. Eventually this big family room will be my giant painting studio. So excited to work.

Well, the interior house painters have finished and I’ve slowly started setting up my reading library and art studio.

I still have about 50 boxes of books to bring in from the garage and my ex-wife’s house. But it’s coming along nicely. Let’s hope my back holds out.

Flew in from Columbus, Mid-Ohio Comicon last night. Fun laid back show. Hung out with old friends and made new ones. Big thanks to Dave Morris and Marc Nathan for transporting my books and prints to the show.

I originally wanted to do a cool sketch for the Sunday’s art blog but my schedule being what it is (hectic), it was next to impossible. So I’ve decided to update you guys on the status of my library and painting studio.

The library was fun to put together. The bookcases, lamps and recliners were installed quite easily. The only problem was I had too many books. I’ve decided to thin out my collection by getting rid of some old comic trades that I don’t read anymore. But I still had a surplus of books, all which I’m quite fond of. So I’ve decided to set a second library in my master bedroom, which I’ll fill with novels, non-fictions and history books.

As for the painting studio, I haven’t done too much since the first update.
