Man, it’s been a rough week.
My youngest, Samantha, was sick and out of school for almost a week.
It wasn’t swine flu. It was whooping cough. The poor kid had to miss most of her Halloween trick or treating. But we did manage to take her pictures in her costume (Jasmine from Aladdin).
She’s right as rain now. Unfortunately, I’ve been laid up with a head cold right after Samantha recovered. Yesterday, I actually started feeling okay.
Here’s one of the prelims of some Marvel characters that I’ve been working on between my drug induced comas.

Hope you're over the cold. I always worry when the kids get sick. Mostly because they ARE sick, but I've always wondered if viruses mutate in strange ways in new territory (kids) and sometimes we parents pick something up.
I thought that sketch was based on Brandy - strong resemblance...

Get well soon, Frank. I'm glad that Samantha pulled through all right.
You done good getting her over that. I find it scary when my kids have a hacking cough. My older girl (now eight) used to get attacks that would border on asthma. Glad your daughter is okay now.
Oh, and I envy the heck out of you being able to produce a prelim like that even when you're under the weather. Surely a drug induced coma should at least cramp your style. Didn't even cause any trippy Peter Max landscapes.
