The Heroes charity auction is now up and running.

I've donated the original She-Hulk cover art for the cause.

Bid high and often. It's for a good cause.

ive never done anything on ebay much less participated on an online bid, but in looking at the bid history, i see 7***7 bid one amount and a couple minutes later raises the bid 100dlls more. ive seen this with other items as well so my question is why would he raise the bid when his was the previous one?

It works the same as putting in a maximum bid with the auctioneer at an auction house if you're not going to be there.

So for instance, if i want a vase i can tell the auctioneer that i'll go up to $100 and he'll bid for me against the people in the room until it goes over my bid. If the highest bid in the room is only $15 though, they i'll win it for the next increment up - $20.

E-Bay works the same way. You can put in a maximum bid and e-bay will put your bid in every time some-one else bids until it gets to your limit.
If the above vase was on e-bay and some-one bid $85, e-bay would put in
$90 for me, if they then went $95, my $100 would show, but if they then went $105, they'd have the winning bid. If $105 was their initial bid, that would knock me straight out.
That's why quite often on winning bids, they'll show as odd pennies on the end as some-one has done that in case the person they're bidding against has put a maximum bid in. If you've gone $85, $95 and still been beaten, then your next bid might be $100.01 in case they've put in $100 max.

Hope that makes sense.  Very Very Happy

Noticed it's now up to $1,275.00 with six days to go. Bravo to Frank and more importantly for Hero Initiative.

I'm gonna estimate this bad boy goes for around $3,500 - $4,000.
