THE GOLDEN RULE

Be nice to others and have fun. Very Very Happy

QUESTIONS

1. Where do we post stories and finds such as big catfishes, Star Wars fan duels, and old ladies punching each other?

Put those in Frank Cho Backyard Barbeque section.

2. Not to bust your ego but is there a specific place to post other noteworthy artist's work such as Adam Hughes?

Put those in Art and Artists Gallery section .
All comics book related topics and artists are welcome.

3. Will there be a section for naked photos?

Yes. Dean's Pigpen section. ALL NAKED PHOTOS GO IN THE DEAN's PIGPEN SECTION.

But my peeps and I have the final discretion and have the right to exercise that discretion.

Okay. Everyone got that? Let's get it on!

RULE #3: User's avatar and signature image CAN NOT CONTAIN NUDITY.
(That unless the member posts messages exclusively at the pigpen/members only section)

RULE #4: No political debates. Period. This is not the place for it.

I just read this. Does my avatar (logo sketch) fall under this rule?

Only now did I notice that the Ses form breasts.  Laughing   Embarassed

Anyway, is there really a point to this rule? I mean, Franks uncensored artworks get posted in the all-access sections of the forum, and I dont see why naked women of the drawn variety are allowed while naked women of the flesh-and-blood variety arent. Also, Id love to see what kind of creative banners and avatars involving nekkid womens the (mostly creative) members here could come up with. You could still keep the rule about not posting hardcore pornography in any of the forums of course.

I'm newly registered on your sight, & I thought I'd send a note of introduction. I've already posted one in the "Uncle Frank's Barbecue" section, and received some kind responses, so I figured I'd do the same here just to say a few more hellos. Let me first mention that I'm a complete neophyte at using a website like this, so I won't always know how to do things, and will probably have to ask a number of questions. I should start with another Thank You to UgoM for his kind assistance in registering me (our server is Comcast, so there were complications) and explaining how to log on.

A little personal biographical info: (Ugo, you've already heard this bit, so you can skip it.) Born during Pres. Ike's first administration; married 1982; death date not yet recorded. BA in Classics (New College of Florida, 1978); MA in Classics (Univ. Minnesota, 1987). Orig. hail from Mass. (the Berkshires). We (husband, cats, & I) now live across Rte. 193 (Greenbelt Rd.) from Goddard Space Flight Center. My husband has worked at NASA-Goddard since 1984 (Solar Physics - 2 notable missions he's worked on are the SOHO and STEREO solar satellites), and has probably walked past Brandy's roommate Jen at some point, especially if she ever eats at the Goddard cafeteria. From 1987-2003 I taught at Beltsville Elementary School, then known as Beltsville Academic Center. It's possible that Frank and I may have walked past each other at some point either in Beltsville or over on the College Park campus of U-Md where I took the ed. courses for my teaching certification. I'm still a student there, currently trying desperately to finish my PhD dissertation in Comparative Lit.

A question: Is there someone/ somewhere on the site who's willing to take questions from and/ or provide consultation to aspiring artists such as myself?

Another introduction (if needed): This may not be the way things are done, but as I said, I'm new to using websites like this, and don't know the protocols, so please bear with me. I've recently begun corresponding with a comics artist from MN, one Tom Nguyen. I don't know if any of you folks know him or his work. He has a website that's worth a look (TomNguyenArt.com). He plans to be at the San Diego convention. He's been very helpful, and I'd like to return his kindness, so I'm hoping that maybe if someone from the Forum who's in San Diego runs across him, you'll introduce yourself/-selves if you don't know him. If you find him, be so good as to tell him that that weird broad from MD still thinks he's a hot sketch. He'll know to whom you're referring.

A classics major!  Very cool.  I have to say I'm a bit envious.   Cool

Don't sweat the technical stuff, Linda.  You'll pick it up in no time.

The Art & Artists section is the perfect place for that.  If you're going to be posting images, you'll need to upload them to an image hosting site like Photobucket, Imageshack, ImageVenue, etc.  Very simple to use, though some image hosts don't like nudity.

Looking forward to seeing your art!
