I just got the final colored cover image from my new colorist, Pez, and all I can say is Wow. He really knocked it out of the park. I love the light and shadow on the figure and how he painted the fur on the lion. Ive already got him working on the next pin-up.

On the sketchbook front, its a tight race. Im trying to have the Jungle Queen themed sketchbook ready for San Diego Comic-Con next month, but I need to finish up two pieces to fill the 64 page sketchbook. I might have to skip the inking stage and put in the unfinished pencil image to meet the deadline.

Decisions. Decisions.

It's a beautifully drawn and beautifully colored cover but I miss the leopard print you drew on other Jungle Queen art.

Ooooo...so talented. I wonder how many people ask him if candy comes
out of his neck?

My recollection is that the early sketchbooks
included several pencil drawings. I always thought
seeing works in progress was kind of the point of
sketchbooks. I vote for the pencil sketches.

Great cover by the way.

Frank Cho's Jungle Queen looks like it will be comical and light hearted similar to Bill Ward's Torchy.
