Mr. Frank Cho just sent me the scan of
the art (his art) to the variant cover to Mark Millar and Tony Harris's sensational war comic book, War Heroes.

Wait you see it.

..and it'll be posted at the 'love monkey blog and art gallery'

Howdy,
Thank you for the heads-up on this, Ugo.
Comics about WW II may have been the first ones I read. Our Army at War, G. I. Combat, and Star Spangled War Stories, along with another one that had true stories illustrated in comic book form really captured my imagination. Honestly, I didn't think anybody was doing these anymore; not since Warren closed shop on Blazing Combat. I'm looking forward to Mr. Cho's cover art. Care to give a hint? Exploding triplanes? Burning tanks? A desparate last stand against overwhelming odds (s'pose that would have to be a wrap-around cover)?
Thanks again,
Aaron

It's not wrap-around, but I'd love to wrap around her  Shocked

Speaking of War Heroes: Issue #2 ships this week, if you're lucky you'll still find also a copy of issue #1. Read it. Mark Millar is -right now- my favorite comic book writer and Tony Harris is one of the comic book artists I enjoy the most (you should also read Ex Machina... what a series!..yes Frank, I'm talking to you!)

I did read WAR HEROES issue #1:
The premise, in short, is (spoilers, highlight to read) in a very near future:  after more terrorist attacks on American soil, the US are at War all over the Middle East but they don't have enough troops, so the military decides to give super powers 'in pills' to 5000 soldiers ( / spoilers) very, very, very intriguing.

I enjoyed Issue #2 very much. Is Frank's cover going to be a variant for Issue #3?

Yes, it's the variant for issue #3.

The co-creator of War Heroes,Tony Harris, is coloring it.  Smile

Same here.
Loved, in particular,  the flying lesson and
the big twist at the end
