Think of these forums as a BBQ party at Cho's. If you were invited at a BBQ at Cho's, would start discussions about politics, religions, death penalty and local by-laws ...OR ....talk about boobs, culos, good movies, amazing art, great TV shows, funny videos...all the good stuff ?

Everybody: please think about it, and act accordingly.

Newly-minted on this site (thank you 'faceless/nameless admin gawd/ess', who helped me suss out some registration bugs!)

Nutshell version: SF Bay Area born n bred, but did my time in Hell-Aye as an animator (back when we used pens, pencils, peg paper, last ounce of blood from our veins, etc); eventually relocated to NorCal and just toying with some freelance art while I figure out what I want to be when I finally grow up, which seems to be comic book art, as I keep gravitating toward the medium .... needless to say, MonkeyKing Cho is way up there with my favorites, so, yeah, glad to hop aboard here!

Welcome back Apes and Babes!  About two weeks ago (or more), access to the site was blocked.  The firewall at work (something called Fortinet) started blocking A&B claiming it was a "porn" site.  I clicked on the bookmark yesterday (out of habit) and up it came!  I figured someone on your end fixed things or whoever classifies sites finally got their heads out of their asses.

Either way, glad you're back!  Smile

It really shouldn’t need to be said, but posting SPAM will get you banned. We don’t need it. We don’t want it. We will recognize it, and it will get deleted.

Is it possible to set either a captcha or validation of email or something to slow that down?  (Or is that already on and the spammers are getting more technologically savvy?)

I really don’t know, but I don’t think that would stop it. I’m the only one doing anything on here, and I’m trying to figure it out as I go. I had a crash course from Ugo a couple years ago, but I don’t remember much of it. I’ve decided to just automatically ban the f*ckers, and delete the posts. I just spent the last half hour doing just that. And the son of a b!+€# was posting more as I was doing it! He has multiple usernames and emails.

If Ugo were still around, he’d know how to stop it altogether. He was the one that designed, built, and was running the Forum. He pops in from time to time, but he’s the only one that really knows how to do everything on here.

*UPDATE* - I saw several new posts again, same crap. Banned every email, username, and IP address. I hope I won’t see them again, but if I do, I’ll ban them again. I wish I was more technologically savvy. I’d set up something to bombard his email addresses with endless amounts of junk email.
