Calgary Expo and San Jose Big Wow Comic Fest

Calgary Expo is fantastic. It is pretty damn cold but no snow this time, which makes it more fantastic. I’ve pretty much sold all the crap that I brought, plus some crap I didn’t bring. Kandrix and crew run a pretty smooth convention.
It’s no surprise that it’s growing every year.
It’s definitely one of those fun and profitable shows of the year. And I can’t wait to come back.

San Jose Big Wow Comic Fest is next on my convention schedule. This is a special show for me since I’m part of the committee that runs it.
Unlike other conventions, this show focus on the art of comic making, from drawing and painting classes to cosplay costume making workshops.
I’ll be doing a free live model drawing class again this year with the lovely Ivy Doomkitty as the model again. If you want to know how I draw sexy women, you don’t want to miss this comic show.
Also the ever elusive and super talented Jim Lee (Justice League), Travis Charest (Captain America) and Juanjo Gaurdino (Black Sad) will be at the show this year.
And I can guarantee there will be no snow. ;-)
