Here’s the original cover to Hulk #9 that I rejected.
The covers are done well in advance, sometimes before the script is written. This was the case with this cover. After I penciled this cover and was ready to start inking, the script was finally sent to me. Lo and behold, the script called for more characters on the cover. So I had the scrap this cover and redraw the cover from scratch.
